The Abuse Of Medicine

I have posted in my blog before about the abuse of Dextromethorphan . It is a drug used to treat a serious dry cough problem . Codeine was also a potent drug to stop cough but due to its heavily abused by the teenagers the Ministry Of Health has withdrawn codeine from our market .

As a replacement to codeine , dextro came to take the place of codeine . I am not sure if dextro is in the same chemical group with codeine but I am confidently sure that this dextro is the hottest item among the teenagers . It can be bought easily at private pharmacy or clinic at an "affordable " price .

The abuse of dextro is actually a threat to our society . It can cause social problem . The Malay teenagers are the greatest in numbers that abused this medicine .

This evening I have been told by my pharmacist friend that the Ministry Of Health has withdrawn the registration of Dextromethorphan in our country . This was a very good step . However the teenagers nowadays are very brilliant . They can find the replacement of Dextro in the shortest time .
